Poggio Lamentano Oil has been produced by Michael Zyw and family since the early 60s.
It was arguably the first Single Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil to be exported to the UK, where it was stocked by "Young and Saunders", wine merchants in Edinburgh.
In the late 1960s it was retailed in Elizabeth David's famous cookery shop in London and went on to be stocked by outlets around the world.
Poggio Lamentano lies in Castagneto Carducci, on the Tuscan hills near Bolgheri (some 80 kilometres south of Pisa), with beautiful views out over the coastal plain to the Tyrrhenian Sea and the islands of Elba, Capraia and Gorgona.
Poggio Lamentano extra virgin olive oil is certified organic { ICEA, Italy } and is bottled at the Estate.
